Cisco is expanding support for Apple users in the workplace with new integrations for AirPlay and Apple Vision Pro.
Announced at Enterprise Connect 2025, the updates improve content sharing and virtual meetings within Cisco’s Webex platform.
AirPlay is now available on Cisco Devices for Microsoft Teams Rooms, allowing iPhone, iPad, and Mac users to share content without adapters. The integration makes it easier to collaborate across different platforms.
Webex Spatial Meetings is also rolling out, transforming spaces with a Cisco Room Bar Pro into immersive meeting environments for Apple Vision Pro. The goal is to create more natural and engaging virtual meetings with spatial interactions that mimic face-to-face conversations.
Cisco has traditionally been associated with Webex, but many businesses rely on Microsoft Teams for daily communication. Adding AirPlay support bridges the gap for Apple users working in Teams-based environments.
Mixed reality is gaining traction in business, and Webex Spatial Meetings reflects that shift. Apple’s Vision Pro is still expensive and not widely adopted, but its potential in remote collaboration and training can make it a valuable tool for some companies.
How it compares to other enterprise solutions
Cisco’s Apple integrations give it an edge over competitors like Microsoft and Zoom. While the former two have Vision Pro apps, Webex Spatial Meetings integrates hardware inside of conference rooms.
AirPlay for Microsoft Teams Rooms remains a unique advantage for businesses using Macs and iPads. It’s aupport for Teams Rooms is an advantage for businesses that use Macs and iPads. Traditional screen-sharing methods often require extra software or cables, while AirPlay simplifies the process.
It’s unclear whether Cisco’s AirPlay integration supports advanced features like touch-enabled screen mirroring or if it’s limited to basic content sharing. Webex Spatial Meetings could also face challenges if companies hesitate to invest in Vision Pro hardware.
